Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

IBC Home > Super Service Training Program Super Service Training Program

Similar to the project for the Indianapolis Super Bowl, Visit Indy conducted 20 hospitality training seminars all across Indiana for hotel, restaurant, and other hospitality workers.

This online training was a self-paced educational program designed to prepare Indiana's hospitality community and event workers with the valuable information, tools, and resources needed to prepare for the Bicentennial Celebration. The purpose was to "coach" Indiana's hospitality team to exceed visitors' service expectations and learn more about Indiana's Bicentennial.

The training included sections on "Exceeding Expectations", "All About the Bicentennial", "The History of Indiana" and "Indiana Tourism & Resources." This training also provided information on good customer service as well as background on Indiana, the Bicentennial, and local projects during 2016.

Pocket overviews, a pin certifying completion and a certificate were provided to live and online program attendees, more than 10,000 are anticipated.

A second round of training programs were conducted during the summer of 2016 due to high demand.
