    Numerous cases of equine herpes virus (EHV-1) have been occurring around the United States--no cases currently exist in Indiana.  TheHorse.com has a tracker map that shows when and where the outbreaks have occurred, along with more detailed information from the affected states.  Information about EHV-1 can be found on the American Association of Equine Practitioners website
  • Report on the Sale of Unpasteurized (Raw) Milk to Consumers
    As of December, 1, 2012, Indiana State Board of Animal Health has completed their study on the sale of raw milk to consumers.   Click here to view the report   
  • Swine Exhibition Recommendations
    The Indiana State Board of Animal Health has created Swine Exhibition Recommendations for Indiana in response to the illnesses that occurred during the 2012 season.  While this report does cover preventative steps for many diseases, the main focus is on influenza viruses.
