Indiana IHIP Program Now Closed The Indiana Heating and air conditioning Incentive Program (IHIP) has exhausted its funding as of July 1, 2010. If you submitted a rebate application BEFORE August 15, 2010, you will receive a letter explaining the status of your rebate. |
August 16, 2010: Lt. Governor Becky Skillman has announced a program that gives Municipal water treatment facilities in Indiana access to grants to improve the energy efficiency of pumps and motors in these facilities. The Energy Efficiency for Water Treatment (EEWT) grant program offers grants up to $100,000 for replacement of water treatment pumps and motors. Applicants for the program must provide a 50 percent cost match. Learn more about it here.
August 10, 2010: The Indiana Office of Energy Development is making two Request for Proposals (RFPs). The purpose of the RFPs is to fund projects in two Areas. Up to $5,000,000 is available per project. RFPs must be returned by August 24, 2010. To learn more about these RFPs, Please click here.
August 5, 2010: Lt. Governor Becky Skillman has announced the Community Conservation Challenge. This program will make grants from $50,000 to $100,000 to nonprofit groups for community scale energy efficiency projects. The competitive grant program opens August 4, 2010 and applications must be submitted by October 1, 2010. Learn more about it here.
July 8, 2010: Lt. Governor Becky Skillman has announced the opening of the Indiana Solar Thermal (IST) grant program that will make $150,000 available to help offset the cost of installing large Solar Thermal water systems. Learn the details here.
July 1, 2010: Due to tremendous homeowner response, the Indiana Heating and Air Conditioning Incentive Program (IHIP) has exhausted its funding two weeks earlier than expected. The federally funded program provided rebates from $150 to $1,000 for qualified Energy Star rated furnaces, boilers, central air and heat pumps. The final rebate forms are still being processed but more rebate requests have been received than can be funded, so the program is now officially closed. Read more about it here.
June 22, 2010: Lt. Governor Becky Skillman has announced the Indiana Heating and Air Conditioning Incentive Program (IHIP) is expected to run out of money by July 15, 2010. The program will have distributed nearly $6 million in rebates for the purchase and installation of Energy Star rated heating and air conditioning equipment in Indiana homes. Read more about it here.
June 17, 2010: Lt. Governor Becky Skillman has announced one additional community has been added to the list of recipients of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) funds for upgrade and retrofit projects to public facilities. A total of ten have been added to the EECBG program that provides grants to small businesses, health care facilities, higher education and non profit organizations. The ten are being added to a list of 50 announced earlier this month. Read more about it here

Governor Becky Skillman announced Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) have been awarded to 50 small businesses, health care facilities, institutions for higher education, and non profit agencies for energy efficiency upgrades to their facilities.
