Legacy Projects > Writing Her Story: 31 Women in 31 Days Writing Her Story: 31 Women in 31 Days

In March 2016, the Indiana Commission for Women (ICW) will publish visual vignettes for its second annual “Writing Her Story: 31 Women in 31 Days.” ICW created “Writing Her Story” in 2012 to shed light on the resilience and strength of Hoosier women and celebrate their accomplishments and contributions to history. This annual project captures stories of extraordinary women and showcases how they have moved Indiana forward. Previously focusing on contemporary women, ICW expanded its historical efforts by releasing its first annual “Writing Her Story: 31 Women in 31 Days” during Women’s History Month in March 2015. Indiana citizens can discover stories about women who have overcome societal barriers through “Writing Her Story” and can create a lasting legacy for Indiana’s future generations.
