Legacy Projects > Celebrating the History of Indiana Through Music Celebrating the History of Indiana Through Music

University of Indianapolis Professors; Dr. Rebecca Sorely, music and Dr. Ted Frantz, history, present “Celebrating Indiana’s Bicentennial through Music,” a program of music and historical commentary in the free UIndy faculty Artist Concert series on Monday, February 15th, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ruth Lilly Performance Hall of the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center at the University of Indianapolis. Social and historical context will be discussed by Frantz and Sorely will perform piano selections related to the text from Hoosier composers Albert and Harry von Tizler, May Auferderheide, Julia Niebergall, David Baker, Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, an Ned Rorem.
