Legacy Projects > Celebrate Our Hoosier State Celebrate Our Hoosier State

“Celebrate our Hoosier State” by attending programs and events scheduled at the Melton Public Library and the French Lick West Baden Museum in 2016. The programs held at the Melton Public Library are all open to the public and are free. A few of the programs include: The Underground Railroad in Indiana, Historic Buildings in Indiana, Historic Cemeteries in Indiana and Native American History in Indiana. The French Lick West Baden Museum is featuring a Dr. William A. Bowles exhibit. Bowles founded French Lick and built the first hotel in 1845. He was also an Indiana Legislator.
