The Indiana Bicentennial Celebration marks 200 years of Hoosier pride for the state’s history and heritage. As Indiana celebrates its past, it also looks to its future, to those who will shape the state in the years to come. The Be More Awards, in its 33rd year, is a community-wide celebration of the volunteer spirit that makes Bloomington special. Sponsored by the City of Bloomington Volunteer Network, the awards honor individuals and groups nominated for dedicated community service. The ten Be More Award recipients earn $500 each from the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County for the nonprofit organizations where they donate their time and talents.
