Legacy Projects > Huntertown Heritage Days Celebrates Indiana Bicentennial Huntertown Heritage Days Celebrates Indiana Bicentennial

HHD’s festival this year will be celebrating the state’s bicentennial both in our theme of the parade activities and historical displays, and tours. It is our hope that we can get some of the tenants of historical buildings in our community to have open houses during the festival along with either an orator or printed material to pass their history on to the public. Locals will be telling how their families fit into Indiana history. Entries in the parade best depicting the theme “Celebrating Indiana’s Bicentennial” will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Entire families will enjoy the food, music, magician, and fireworks. There will be lots to see and do for the young as well as the young at heart.
