Legacy Projects > Revitalization of the Historical Hope Town Square Revitalization of the Historical Hope Town Square

The Hope Historical Town Square has a park in the center of it with a shelter house and playground. In 2015, Heritage of Hope, Inc. and the Town of Hope completed a Park Improvement Project with the help of an OCRA Place Base Investment grant. New electrical outlets were installed to accommodate all the events and other activities held such as The Old Fashioned Fourth of July and Christmas of Yesteryear. Also, a natural grass terrace seating was made around the historic bandstand, a Verdin historical looking clock was placed on the corner of Main Street and concrete art pads with lighting were added. In 2016, the three organizations plan more improvements such as lighted brick pathways to the shelter house and game tables. Benches will be added as well as livestock troughs with flowers. Our goal is to have a gathering place for all people.
