The Carmel Clay Public Library has organized a year-long series of programs for all ages in 2016, highlighting important people and notable events in local and Indiana history. From Indiana wildflowers and the life of author Gene Stratton-Porter, to a visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog, beloved character from Indiana author Norman Bridwell’s children’s books, our series offers a composite of 200 years of Hoosier history, including Hoosier authors, composers, movies and landmarks. In addition, we are organization a Community Reads program featuring a famous novel based on a true life historical Indiana event, and will culminate the year with a Birthday Bash for Indiana!
