Legacy Projects > Recreating Yesterday Recreating Yesterday

Wallace, a tiny farming community nestled between the prairie and hill of Southeast Fountain County, invites you to their celebration, Recreating Yesterday, where dressing of the 1816 period is recommended.

June 24th 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Fire Department sponsored meal and music on the bandstand 

June 25th 1:00 p.m. 

  • State Flag presentation.
  • Interview with town founding father regarding settlers in Indiana.
  • Dedication of town plaque and tree planting ceremony.
  • Demonstration of 1816 activities such as quilting, gardening, antique store, butter churning and blacksmithing to follow.

June 25th 2:00 p.m.

  • Free birthday cake and ice cream social. Model T cars will be on display.
