Thorntown Historian

Project Description

The Thorntown Historical Research Program sponsored by Sugar Plain Friends Church who will partner with local and private organizations to make a historical magazine of the history of the Thorntown community free to all the residents of Thorntown. It will include histories of the local schools, churches and civic organizations, founding families, historical events, community entertainment, businesses, library and local government.

The magazine will be published monthly from July 2015-December 2016. It will be printed by students at Area 31 Career Center in Indianapolis. The staff will include representatives from each of the areas of research. There will be a total of 18 issues published. Copies will be archived in both the Thorntown and Lebanon Public Libraries.
