Legacy Projects > Mooresville SR 67 & Indiana Street Obelisk Gateway Mooresville SR 67 & Indiana Street Obelisk Gateway

The State Road 67 and Indiana Street Gateway in Mooresville will showcase a larger scale version of the obelisk used at the north and south gateways, upon entering Mooresville from the north and south. This repetition of the obelisk at different scales will create continuity between the gateways, while responding to the characteristics of each location. The 60’ tall obelisk references the torch from the Indiana State Flag and has a 9.5 foot tall illuminated flame and perforated metal inset. Median plantings at the base of the gateway provide seasonal interest. The Indiana Street Obelisk is on an axis with Indiana Street and at 60 feet tall will be visible from downtown Mooresville as well as those traveling along the highway.
