The organizers of the Swiss Wine Festival invites the public to participate in the “Celebrating Indiana’s Grape Heritage” Grand Festival Parade. The August 27th event is the official kick-off of the 45th Swiss Wine Festival, paying homage to the State of Indiana’s and Switzerland County’s winemaking roots. In celebration of the 2016 State Bicentennial, parade entries should incorporate a grape or winemaking theme through a family-friendly design. A small entry fee is required but goes back to the event or is distributed to a non-profit that volunteers during the festival. The parade is held on Main Street in Vevay.
