Legacy Projects > Monon Theatre Restoration Monon Theatre Restoration

The Monon Movie Theatre was built in 1938 and was once the social hub of the community. In 2014 the Howard Theatre was purchased by the Monon Civic Preservation Society (MCPS). Together with the White County Historical Society and the White County Bicentennial Committee, the MCPS are restoring the iconic Monon Movie Theatre.
