Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Amber Alert
Amber Alert - TEST

Legacy Projects > Bicentennial Sign Initiative Bicentennial Sign Initiative

Signage for the program will be produced in Indiana by the Prison Enterprises Network, positively impacting our recidivism rates. Signs will be affordable at $175+shipping for an 18”x18” full color aluminum sign. They may be more recognizable than State Historical Markers, since they are light weight and can be attached to most surfaces.

Bicentennial signs will:

  • celebrate local and regional history, whether it was made 200 years ago or yesterday.
  • promote the pillars of the 2016 celebration by encouraging tangible (marker-worthy) public projects.
  • increase awareness of the Bicentennial through the use of the Bicentennial logo/brand, as well as the stylized text “1816-2016” and “200 Years of Indiana Statehood” on each sign.
  • help to fund the Bicentennial celebration (IHB’s profit margin on markers and signs is low to keep prices affordable while covering agency administrative costs. Approximately $8 from each sign ordered would be reserved for the Bicentennial Commission.)

You can order your own Bicentennial Sign for your endorsed Legacy Project by visiting: http://in.gov/history/4081.htm
