Mooresville, Indiana is the home of the Indiana State Flag! The Mooresville Public Library will be hosting historical events/lectures showcasing famous Mooresvillians who have shaped our town. Mooresville’s rich history began in 1824 when Samuel Moore, a native of North Carolina migrated to Indiana and established Mooresville, Indiana. Throughout the year, the Mooresville Public Library will host events celebrating these famous Mooresvillians; Samuel Moore/Founding Father, Amos Rusie/The Hoosier Thunderbolt, Paul Hadley/Designer of our State’s flag, Frank Inn/Hollywood Animal Trainer, Sammy Lee Davis, Congressional Medal of Honor, the real Forrest Gump. We invite the public to come hear about the lives of our Legacy.
