Legacy Projects > 100 Faces + 100 Places = 200 Notes from Indiana 100 Faces + 100 Places = 200 Notes from Indiana

“200 Notes from Indiana” is stand-alone display of 200 original watercolor paintings, each about 5×7 inches, depicting 100 important and diverse people in Indiana history and 100 locations in Indiana that describe its natural beauty, industry, buildings and monuments. Together the 200 images will be notes of the people, the land and the heritage of the Hoosier State.

By depicting both a selection of famous Hoosiers and those fertile, fascinating and friendly Indiana locations that define its geography together in one graphic statement the audience will see that Indiana is a truly diverse, culturally rich, and magnificently beautiful state that has contributed much to the history, culture and economy of the United States. Each 5×7 inch watercolor “note” will in its small way represent an individual person or locale while serving as a reminder that the whole is certainly more than the sum of its parts.

When the project is about half completed in April of 2015 I will enlist the WSI and other resources to determine the facilities (schools, public/government offices, libraries) that will exhibit the paintings. The display of paintings will be completed by April, 2016 and can travel to multiple locations through the end of 2016.
