Sweet Dreams Baby Bundles
Mothers who complete a continuum of prenatal care and deliver at Green County General Hospital will receive a Sweet Dreams Baby Bundle. This program is designed to combat Green County’s high infant mortality rate. This consists of a large, heavy-duty decorated cardboard box, lined with a water-proof mattress, cover and sheet that is designed to promote safe sleep for new infants. Other items included in the box are onesies, diapers, blankets and educational material covering tobacco cessation and safe sleep practices.

What do you consider the key accomplishment of your Legacy Project?
- The Sweet Dreams Baby Bundles provides prenatal care for Greene County mothers, including smoking cessation, infant CPR, and safe sleep instruction. The program provides incentives for moms to access regular prenatal care and hospital delivery with a box of baby supplies that doubles as a safe sleep bassinet.
Describe a highlight or most memorable moment related to your Legacy Project.
- Greene County General Hospital presented its first Baby Bundle to the Keasling family in April 2015. New mom, Brittany Keasling, was delighted with her box, and baby Ivan was the first to enjoy the safe sleep benefits of the supplies.

- We have detailed records of all program participants in our OB department medical records.
