Amber Alert
Amber Alert - TEST

Legacy Projects > Randolph Southern School Corporation Tulip Trees Planting Project Randolph Southern School Corporation Tulip Trees Planting Project

The project involves the students in Randolph Southern’s 4th grades in 2014, 2015 and 2016 to plant two tulip trees each year on the school’s campus. The campus currently does not have the state tree on its property. A special tree planting event will be held in the fall each year, with the 2014 event scheduled for October 23rd. The evening will start with a family picnic, which of course will include the State pie which is made in Randolph County, a presentation by the students and will conclude with the students singing the state song and the planting of the tress which will involve the 4th graders and their parents. The 2016 tulip tree planting event will be expanded to include the entire school body and Lynn community in celebration of the State’s 200th birthday. A plaque will be placed by the trees planted in 2016 to honor the State’s bicentennial with the bicentennial logo included on the plaque if approved as a legacy project.
