Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > Celebrating Avon Celebrating Avon

Celebrating Avon is an annual celebration of Avon and Washington Township history by showcasing pioneer crafts such as quilting, chair caning, beekeeping and rug hooking. To commemorate Indiana’s Bicentennial, we focused on an Indiana Bicentennial quiz show open to all ages 4 times during the afternoon. We also gave 19 door prizes to commemorate Indiana’s entry into the Union as the 19th state. Each of these door prizes had an Indiana theme, including James Madison’s Hoosiers and 2 Indiana state park passes.
