Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > Centennial Park Centennial Park

Serving as a natural gateway into Rochester’s Historic Downtown district, project partners have purchased, improved and will develop a 165’ x 60’ lot into a naturally landscaped urban style park complete with native plant species, meandering pathways, repurposed wrought iron fencing, outdoor art displays, an open lawn for seating and gathering, services and parking for food trailers as well as visitors and ADA approved parking and access. The corner lot formerly housed a 4 story building originally built in and named after the US Centennial celebration in 1876, hence the project and park name, Centennial Park.
