Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > 1st Tree of Hope 1st Tree of Hope

The board members and volunteers of the Dunham House Educational Foundation will be participating in this project. As part of its commitment to education, we will incorporate not only the historical tour of the Dunham House but its grounds as well. Currently, we have nearly 100 plants that were transferred from President Washington’s home, Mount Vernon, to the Dunham House. Including the 1st Tree of Hope into our educational tours allows us to engage in the importance of environmental care. As this tree grows, we will be able to show future generations how they can be involved in being the future caretakers of Indiana’s natural resources.
