Legacy Projects > Trinity Episcopal Church's 175 Year Celebration Trinity Episcopal Church's 175 Year Celebration

Trinity Episcopal Church was founded in Logansport on July 29, 1841 and held its first service in the sanctuary of the newly built building at the northwest corner of 7th and Market St. on February 19, 1843. The church, in the heart of Logansport, has occupied this building since then and has the longest continuous occupation of a congregation in the city. Today, we have an outreach ministry of school supply giveaways serving over 1,000 children each year, and a very busy feeding ministry. We plan to celebrate our 175th birthday this year by inviting the community to worship with us, using a 1928 prayer book, on July 10, attend a traditional ice cream social with entertainment in our parking lot on July 17, and come to a homecoming reunion brunch after worship on July 24 where stories and history will be shared.
