Batesville will celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial with a community celebration slated for Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Village Square, Downtown Batesville. Festivities begin with the Farmer’s Market breakfast at 9 a.m. offering an abundance of home-grown fruits, vegetables and more! Step back in time at the Memorial Public Library’s Pioneer Exhibit to get a glimpse of life in our state’s infancy. Don’t miss the celebratory Bicentennial Torch, carried by Batesville’s very own honorary residents and organizations who have helped etch Batesville into Indiana’s history. Cheer on our participants as they travel from East Pearl Street into the heart of Batesville’s downtown. This celebration will highlight achievements in Indiana’s history with day-long festivities honoring Batesville’s heritage and culture.
