Legacy Projects > US House of Representatives 2016 Congressional Art Competition US House of Representatives 2016 Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Students submit entries to their representative’s office and each office selects the winning entry from their respective district. Winners are recognized both in their district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The winning works are displayed in the US Capitol for one year. The theme for the Indiana delegation’s 2016 congressional art competition is Indiana’s Bicentennial. For additional information about the competition, visit www.house.gov to link to the appropriate representative’s website.
