Legacy Projects > Lake Monroe Peninsula – Bicentennial Nature Trust Lake Monroe Peninsula – Bicentennial Nature Trust

Purchase of a 35-acre wooded peninsula extending ¾ mile into Lake Monroe with 1.7 miles of lake frontage.  The acquisition will protect the forested buffer along the lake shore which enhances water quality and provides excellent habitat for bald eagles and other species of concern.  This project is located in Monroe County, near the State Road 446 causeway.
