Indiana Bicentennial Celebration 2016

Legacy Projects > Morton High School Promotes Its Next Indiana Bookshelf Collection Morton High School Promotes Its Next Indiana Bookshelf Collection

Morton High School in Hammond was chosen as one of the 55 statewide recipients of the Next Indiana Bookshelf. Morton created a Next Indiana Bookshelf display, which features The Indiana Chant and the Literary Map of Indiana; posted blog posts about the books and linked to contributing authors on the Next Indiana Bookshelf blog; purchased e-book and audiobook versions of the selections for a curated OverDrive collection; and produced a Next Indiana Bookshelf digital “book chat.” Morton will videotape a student performance of The Indiana Chant; feature movie versions of Paper Towns  and Raintree County  as part of an informal Indiana Film Festival in fall 2016; and Morton’s Book Club will read Invincible, Indiana  and Paper Towns during 2016-17.
