How Yorktown Utility Billing Works

- Bills are issued in arrears, meaning you are billed for services already used.
- Bills are mailed during the last week of each month.
Ways To Pay Your Bill
Residents may choose the method that works best for them:
- Pay in person at Town Hall
- Mail your payment
- Use the secure drop box outside the front door of Town Hall
- Online payment at yorktownindiana.org
- Requires your account number
- Full balance must be paid (no partial payments)
- A convenience fee applies
- Autopay through the Town (recommended)
- No fee
- Requires a voided check and signed authorization
- Forms may be completed in person or print and mail
Delinquency & Service Interruption Timeline
- Any balance more than 30 days past due is subject to service interruption
- Shut-off notices are mailed the day after bills are sent
- Service interruption typically occurs at 40 days or more delinquent
- The shut-off date listed is 9 days from the date the notice is mailed
