Known for academic excellence, strong community support, and a commitment to student opportunity, the district plays a central role in the life of our community. Although the school system is a distinct and autonomous entity separate from Town government, it is a valued partner in fostering a thriving and supportive environment for families, students, and residents.

The Board meets regularly to discuss district initiatives, community engagement, and educational goals. Current Board officers include a President, Vice President, Secretary, and additional members committed to guiding the district’s long-range vision.

School Board meetings are typically held monthly and offer opportunities for public participation and transparency.

While separate from Town administration, Yorktown Community Schools is integral to the vitality and quality of life in Yorktown. Schools serve as hubs for community events, youth sports, cultural performances, and civic pride, and they are often highlighted as a reason families choose to live and invest in the area.

The Town of Yorktown applauds the dedication of teachers, administrators, students, and families who contribute to this success and looks forward to continued collaboration in support of a strong, vibrant community.
