As part of the larger Marquette Greenway initiative, NIRPC is partnering with the City of Gary to transform an abandoned elevated railroad into a multi-use trail called the GaryELevated. This 3+ mile corridor traverses through the heart of the downtown area, connecting directly to the Indiana Dunes National Park. You can read more about the project here Gary ELevated Concept Sheet.
