- Personal Vehicle to NIRPC
NIRPC shares a building with the Northwest Indiana Forum in the Southport Industrial Park in Portage, Indiana. The NIRPC/Forum Building is located immediately north of Interstate 94 and west of State Road 249 at the Portage and Port of Indiana exit. To get to the NIRPC/Forum Building take Interstate 94 to State Road 249 (Exit Number 19) and exit north. Turn west into the Southport Industrial Park at Ameriplex Drive, which is the first road west from State Road 249 and north of Interstate 94. Turn left at Waypoint Drive, which is the first road to the left. At the stop sign turn left at Southport Road. The NIRPC/Forum Building is the first building on the left side

- Trails to NIRPC
NIRPC's offices are accessible from the South Shore Line's Portage/Ogden Dunes station via an 11-minute bicycle ride along U.S. Route 12 (Dunes Highway), down IN-249, and then a multi-use trail leading directly to the building. The offices are also accessible by multi-use trail from the east through the Ameriplex development from either Burns Harbor via the Marquette Greenway, or a wide trail that runs along Jens Jensen Drive from Portage.
