Corridor Development manages Interstate Access Requests for all proposed changes to access to the Interstate System in Indiana. Potential changes, including new access points (new interchanges) or significant modification to an existing interchange, are defined, analyzed, checked for negative or undesirable effects to the system, and documented in concurrence with FHWA Interstate Access Policy, with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Indiana Division and, if necessary, FHWA national headquarters.
