STIP FY 2028-2031

The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) is a four to five year planning document that lists all projects expected to be funded in those four years with Federal funds and those state-funded projects that have been deemed as Regionally Significant. Prepare the STIP narrative (public involvement, AQC, EJ). Follow INDOT’s public involvement processes; schedule meetings with FHWA/FTA. MPOs continue TIP development. Submit project listings to FHWA/FTA.

Schedule district public meetings.

Post draft project listing on INDOT’s website. Open the 45‑day Public Comment Period.

4/1 – 4/30

Hold district public meetings (in‑person or virtual).

Respond to public comments and finalize the Draft STIP.

Submit Draft STIP to FHWA/FTA.
