Portable Wireless Camera

This INDOT innovation improves safety around large vehicles by adding a portable, wireless, and rechargeable camera system. Many INDOT trucks and heavy equipment have significant blind spots, which makes it difficult for drivers to see workers on the ground or traffic behind them. The portable camera increases visibility, reduces distractions, and helps drivers focus on a single screen rather than relying only on mirrors and spotters.
The system provides a clearer view during backing, towing, and trailer operations, reducing the likelihood of incidents. It can be used on a wide range of equipment, including crack sealers, tack machines, compressors, mastic units, and dura patchers. Increased visibility supports safer operations for both drivers and ground crews.
