Reflector Placement Tool

This INDOT innovation helps crews place temporary reflectors during chip seal operations without constant bending. Highway technicians previously had to bend over every 40 feet to install each reflector, which increased fatigue and the risk of injury. The new reflector placement tool holds the reflector in position and applies even pressure so it can be installed from a standing posture. This simple improvement reduces strain on workers and makes reflector placement safer and more efficient.
