Drone Improvements
INDOT is expanding the use of advanced drones to help districts collect data faster and more efficiently. New drones equipped with Photogrammetry, LIDAR, and thermal imaging give local teams the ability to capture high‑quality information for design, construction, operations, and environmental needs.
Previously, districts had to wait for central survey crews to travel across the state. With their own equipment and training, districts can respond quickly, reduce delays, and make better decisions using accurate, real‑time data.
