Administration
The Director of State Operations manages the AGO's directors and provides general oversight and guidance to the AGO staff in executing the Adjutant General's operational and strategic vision. The Director is the primary interface between the AGO and other agencies of the state, the office of the governor, local officials, and the various federal and military directorates of the Indiana National Guard. The director is the primary actor responsible for establishing and enforcing the various AGO-specific policies and procedures that govern day-to-day operations of the agency, and serves as the liaison between directorates of the AGO, the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) or the military directorates of the Indiana National Guard.

Controller's Office
The AGO State Controller’s Office manages and maintains virtually all of the AGO’s financial transactions; specifically, accounts receivable and accounts payable, and serves as liaison between the AGO and the Indiana State Budget Agency. The controller’s office coordinates directly with AGO state facilities and purchasing and contracting to ensure smooth and efficient transactions, and supports the AGO through the application of appropriate accounting practices.

Purchasing and Contracting Directorate
The AGO Purchasing and Contracting Directorate manages all purchasing and contractual relationships that the AGO utilizes to accomplish Indiana National Guard missions, goals and objectives. Purchasing and Contracting coordinates directly with all other AGO directorates in support of their goals, and utilizes a combination of state-approved quality purchase agreement (QPA) vendors; established, experienced, and qualified professional organizations; and competitive bidding to ensure that the AGO is achieving maximum value and efficiency of the taxpayer dollar.

Facilities Directorate
The AGO State Facilities Directorate constructs, provides and maintains all state-owned or state-supported facilities of the Indiana National Guard in support of both state and federal missions, objectives and goals. State facilities supports, either directly or indirectly, over 150 structures, including more than 60 armories, various maintenance shops and equipment sites, aviation support facilities, the Hoosier Youth Challenge Academy facilities, and various parts of Camp Atterbury and the Muscatatuck Training Center.

Human Resources Directorate
The AGO Human Resources Directorate supports approximately 500 employees of the Adjutant General’s Office at Joint Forces Headquarters, Camp Atterbury, the Air Wings, Muscatatuck, the Hoosier Youth Challenge Academy and the 60+ armory locations throughout the state. Human Resources provides a direct link between the Indiana State Personnel Department and the AGO and assists with implementing SPD policies and procedures regarding hiring, discipline, compensation, health care and benefit management of all AGO employees. Human Resources can assist with Disability, Family Medical Leave, Military Leave, Onboarding, Recruitment, Success Factors and Worker Compensation.
