Tadeusz (Ted) Kolodka – Scientist, Problem Solver, and Proud Redkey Resident

Dr. Tadeusz “Ted” Kolodka brings an extraordinary depth of knowledge and experience to the Town of Redkey. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Ted holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine. His professional career spans years in the biopharmaceutical industry, where he worked as a trained patent agent and held various management positions, applying both scientific and strategic expertise.

Now enjoying early retirement, Ted has generously turned his attention to the needs of Redkey. When the town faced serious challenges, Ted was called upon for his rare combination of technical knowledge and regulatory insight. His background made him the ideal person to assist with testing, developing strategic plans in collaboration with IDEM, and helping coordinate grant funding to move critical projects forward.

Beyond his scientific and civic contributions, Ted is active in community life. He serves as Financial Secretary for the Knights of Columbus and enjoys beekeeping and gardening in his spare time—bringing the same care and thoughtfulness to his hobbies as he does to his public service.

Ted’s unique blend of global experience, scientific expertise, and community spirit make him an invaluable part of the Redkey story.
