Clock Tower

Redkey Community Development Chili Fundraiser

March 7, 2026 | 5:00–7:00 PM
Old Redkey Fire Station
#SaveTheClockTower

Join us on March 7, 2026, from 5–7 PM at the Old Redkey Fire Station for a Chili Fundraiser benefiting the restoration of Redkey’s historic clock tower.

Come enjoy a warm bowl of chili, good company, and a chance to support a project that means a lot to our community. During the event, the inner workings of the clock will be on display, giving visitors a rare, up-close look at the mechanics behind this longtime Redkey landmark.

The Old Redkey Fire Station has been part of the town’s story for over a century. Built in 1905, with the clock added in 1909, the building is one of 25 contributing structures in the Redkey Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Redkey’s firefighting roots go back even further—to 1886, when just 15 volunteers formed the town’s first fire department. Today, the old fire station and its clock tower remain a cornerstone of Redkey’s heritage.

Restoring the clock tower is a big job. Significant work and funding are needed to restore all four clock faces and ensure the tower continues to serve as a symbol of Redkey for generations to come. Every bowl of chili and every contribution helps move this important project forward.

Stop by, warm up, learn a little history, and help us keep Redkey’s clock ticking. We hope to see you there!
