Meet the Redkey Staff
Behind the scenes of Redkey’s daily operations is a dedicated team of public servants working hard to keep our town running safely, efficiently, and with care. From ensuring clean drinking water to keeping our streets safe and maintained, this team plays an essential role in the well-being of our community.
Our staff includes two part-time Deputy Clerk-Treasurers and departments for Wastewater and Sewage, Streets and Maintenance, and Police Services. Whether it’s supporting town operations, maintaining critical infrastructure, or protecting our neighborhoods, each team member brings valuable expertise and commitment to their role.
Get to know the people who help make Redkey a great place to live, working daily to keep our water clean, our streets safe, and our town moving forward.
Billie Jean Hammond
Deputy Clerk-Treasurer
Billie Jean Hammond has proudly served as Redkey’s Deputy Clerk-Treasurer for over a year, bringing a friendly, helpful presence to Town Hall. A lifelong resident of Redkey, Billie Jean appreciates the town’s close-knit, safe, and quiet atmosphere—qualities that make it a special place to call home.
In her role, Billie handles daily responsibilities like posting water bills and answering resident calls, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. With no prior public office experience, she stepped into this position with heart and dedication.
One of the key projects she’s excited to see move forward is the revitalization of the town park—a project that will benefit families across the area. Looking ahead, Billie hopes to see continued efforts to clean up and beautify Redkey, reflecting the pride she and many residents feel for their hometown.
When she’s off the clock, you might catch Billie cruising around town in her golf cart or cheering on a local ballgame—her favorite Redkey pastime. And if you didn’t already know: she loves to talk and connect with people, which makes her a perfect fit in a role centered around service.
Her message to Redkey residents?
“I love everybody and I’m always willing to help in any way I’m able.”

Bill & Mary Hall
Park Cabin Caretakers & Redkey Champions
Bill and Mary Hall, a retired couple, have become beloved figures in the community through their dedicated care of the Redkey Park Cabin and their quiet, steady oversight of the town park itself.
As the caretakers of the park cabin, Bill and Mary approach every job with heart and pride. They clean thoroughly, maintain the space, and make sure it's always ready to welcome families, friends, and special events. Their attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness help make the cabin a trusted, welcoming space for all who use it.
But their service doesn’t stop there. As unofficial “overseers” of the park, the Halls keep
a caring eye on the grounds, ensuring things are tidy, safe, and enjoyable for visitors. They do all this not for recognition, but because they truly love the Town of Redkey and want what’s best for its people.
