Marshall County EMA maintains the county's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) both during EOC activations and while the EOC is on standby mode. The EOC is a designated location where representatives from each Emergency Support Function can gather during a disaster to ensure operational and messaging coordination.
The EOC is separate from the Incident Command Post, which is usually staged much closer to the emergency's location. The EOC supports Incident Command in their operations through situational awareness and resource deployment. An EOC can stay activated in full or limited capacity for as long as the disaster requires.
