Countywide Plans

The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency writes and maintains several plans that outline emergency response and disaster recovery in the county. These plans include:

- Marshall County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP)

  • The CEMP includes supporting annexes for different community lifelines and hazards, including, but not limited to:
    • Communications
    • Public Information & Warning
    • Debris Management
    • Mass Care
    • Hazardous Materials

- Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (MHMP)

  • A new MHMP is prepared every five years and highlights hazards Marshall County is vulnerable to and outlines possible mitigation activities to confront those hazards. All other political subdivisions are eligible to participate in this plan.

- Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)

  • Outlines plans and procedures for Marshall County government offices in the event of operational disruption.

NOTE: The COOP, along with portions of the CEMP and MHMP, contains essential security information that is classified as For Official Use Only (FOUO) and not released to the public.
