Leadership Team

Each member of the CityBus team plays an essential role in bringing our mission and vision to life throughout our community. From our bus operators to our customer service representatives, from our maintenance personnel to our dispatchers, from our specialists to our leadership team, CityBus is an agency comprised of dedicated people working hard to provide Greater Lafayette with the best mobility services possible.

The CityBus leadership team is responsible for implementing the agency's strategic direction, overseeing daily operations, realizing the agency's mission and vision, managing and mitigating risk, ensuring and enhancing value, actively engaging with the community, and taking good care of our customers. For the entire CityBus team, "customers" is intended to be a broad term, including our riders, community members, and all other stakeholders we're proud to serve.


Smith

Chief Executive Officer — Bryan D. Smith

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for overall agency leadership and works under the guidance of the Board of Directors. The CEO is an involved partner providing mobility services to the community, supporting transit-oriented development cooperatively with private partners and other units of local government, and actively coordinating with other local, regional, state, and nationwide organizations to promote the cause of enhancing accessible and equitable mobility services for all.

Walck

Chief Operating Officer — Bryan T. Walck

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) reports to the CEO and is responsible for ensuring that mobility services provided by the agency maintain the highest standards. The COO provides strategic leadership for the following departments and their respective managers: Customer Experience, Information Systems, Facilities, Fleet, and Operations. The COO is responsible for ensuring the internal operations of the agency run smoothly and are in alignment with the CEO's strategic vision.

Joanne

Chief Financial Officer — Joanne Zhang

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, and is responsible for all financial and related administrative functions of the agency. The CFO provides strategic leadership and oversight of funds, assets, and financial processes ensuring the agency meets all compliance requirements and maintains long-term financial stability. The CFO is responsible for ensuring the financial health and ongoing functionality of the agency.

Dusty

Human Resources Administrator — Dusty Sturgeon

The Human Resources Administrator reports to the CEO and is responsible for ensuring the agency has the best team in place to accomplish our mission. The Human Resources Administrator manages the employee life cycle, administers employee benefits programs, provides guidance on people-related issues, and is key to driving the culture of the agency.

Safety and Training Administrator — Derek Streeter

The Safety and Training Administrator reports to the CEO and is responsible for ensuring the agency is operating safely with well-trained staff. The Safety and Training Administrator actively manages the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP), monitors safety programs, and establishes training standards to ensure our services are safe and free from unnecessary risk.

Operations Manager — Ron Peters

The Operations Manager reports to the COO and is responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently across all modes of service. The Operations Manager provides leadership to our dedicated bus operators with the assistance of an administrative team.

Shawn

Fleet Manager — Shawn Coffman

The Fleet Manager reports to the COO and is responsible for ensuring our fleet of revenue and non-revenue vehicles is properly maintained and kept in a state of operational readiness. The Fleet Manager comprehensively oversees and optimizes all aspects of our fleet and provides leadership for our maintenance team.

Randy

Information Systems Manager — Randy Anderson

The Information Systems Manager reports to the COO and is responsible for ensuring effective technology systems solutions are in place to meet the needs of the agency. The Information Systems Manager provides technical expertise and leadership ensuring the proper flow of critical data to stakeholders through systems and infrastructure.

Customer Experience Manager —

The Customer Experience Manager reports to the COO and is responsible for ensuring all customers of the agency receive the best experience possible in service delivery and partnership. The Customer Experience Manager provides leadership in the areas of engagement, communications, development, and customer service maintaining the agency's position within the community.
