Vaccinations are Provided Through the Indiana State Department of Health's Child and Adult Vaccine Programs to Eligible Clients.

Which Children Are Eligible for the VFC Program?

Children under 19 years are eligible to receive vaccines through the VFC program if they meet one of the following criteria:

• Eligible for Medicaid
• Uninsured
• Underinsured
• American Indiana or Alaska Native

Underinsured means the child has health insurance, but the insurance either doesn’t cover the recommended vaccine(s), or only covers a fixed dollar amount for vaccines. A child becomes eligible once the fixed dollar amount is reached.

Children whose health insurance covers the cost of vaccinations are not eligible for VFC vaccines, even when a claim for the cost of the vaccine, and its administration would be denied for payment by the insurance carrier because the plan’s deductible had not been met.

Are There Any Vaccination Programs Available for Adults Who Do Not Have Health Insurance and Need Vaccines?

Certain providers in the state of Indiana are enrolled as Adult Providers in Indiana’s publicly funded vaccine program. These providers include birthing hospitals, prenatal clinics, community health centers, and local health departments. All providers in this program can offer the following vaccines: FLU, MMR, Varicella, Meningococcal, Meningococcal B, Hepatitis vaccines, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, and the Tdap vaccine to adults who do not have any health insurance or have health insurance that does not cover the cost of the vaccines. Certain risk criteria must be met in order to be eligible for the program.

$20 administration fee per appointment/visit
*if you’re child has Medicaid, our office will bill them and there is not an administration fee.

Vaccine Records

To request a copy of your vaccination record please call (765) 521-7059 and choose option 3. Leave your name, number, & request, and please allow 48 hours for us to return your call.

If you or your child did not receive their last vaccine at The Henry County Health Department, you will need to obtain the vaccination record at the facility that administered the last vaccine.

All physician offices and clinics that administer Vaccinations can access the State’s Immunization Program called CHIRP.
