Tattoo Parlor & Tattoo Artist Licensing
Tattoo parlors and tattoo artists in Henry County are regulated to ensure safe and sanitary practices that protect clients from infections and bloodborne diseases. The Environmental Health Division conducts inspections and issues permits to facilities and individual artists in compliance with Indiana state regulations.
Requirements include:
- Completion of a bloodborne pathogens training course
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
- Using single-use needles and proper sterilization procedures for reusable equipment
- Keeping detailed client consent and procedure records
