PUBLIC NOTICE
The Freeze/Thaw Period for all non-exempt Monroe County maintained roadways is in effect from February 3rd to May 3rd each calendar year. Any vehicle in excess of 16,000 pounds must have a waiver to drive on non-exempt Monroe County maintained roadways. Please see Monroe County Code Chapter 480.
ROAD CLOSINGS
CRUM ROAD, between Breeden Road & Mount Zion Road: Crum Road will be closed starting near 8100 Crum Road and then moving east on Monday, February 16, 2026 – Tuesday, February 17, 2026, daily from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, for culvert replacements by Monroe County Bridge Crews.
MAPLE GROVE ROAD N, between Delap Road & Bottom Road: Maple Grove Road N will be closed at the covered bridge on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 – Wednesday, February 18, 2026, daily from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, for bridge maintenance by Monroe County Bridge Crews.
ROGERS STREET, between Clear Creek Drive & That Road: Rogers Street will be closed in this area on Monday, February 16, 2026 – mid-morning Tuesday, February 17, 2026, for sewer lateral installation. Detour will be posted.

GROSS ROAD, between Knightridge Rd & Friendship Road: Monroe County Stormwater Crews will be ditching in this area during the week on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 – Friday, February 20, 2026, daily from 7:30 am – 2:30 pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
KINGS ROAD, between State Road 46 & Mahalia Way: Monroe County Bridge Crews will be doing sidewalk maintenance in this area during the week on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 – Friday, February 20, 2026, daily from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
KIRKSVILLE ROAD, between Hinds Rd & Harmony Road: Monroe County Stormwater Crews will be ditching in this area during the week on Monday, February 16, 2026 – Tuesday, February 17, 2026, daily from 7:30 am – 2:30 pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
KNIGHTRIDGE ROAD, between State Road 446 and State Road 446 (on the section West of SR 446): Monroe County Highway Crews will be ditching in this area during the week on Monday, February 16, 2026 – Friday, February 20, 2026, daily from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
MONROE COUNTY ROAD MAINTENANCE: Monroe County Highway Crews will be performing brief road maintenance functions including mowing, trimming trees, patching potholes, spreading stone, shoulder repairs, yard repairs and grading gravel roads in various areas throughout the County this week during the hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
MONROE COUNTY BRIDGE MAINTENANCE: Monroe County Bridge Crews will be performing brief bridge maintenance functions and guardrail repairs in various areas throughout the County this week during the hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
MONROE COUNTY STORMWATER MAINTENANCE: Monroe County SW Crews will be performing brief storm water maintenance functions including street sweeping, storm inlet and culvert maintenance, and cleaning culverts in various areas throughout the County this week during the hours of 7:30 am – 2:30 pm. There will be lane restrictions with traffic control.
