2026 Organizational Meeting for the Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals (PTABOA).
The Board will have their organizational meeting February 26, 2026. The meeting is held in Room 104, Courthouse 100 W. Kirkwood. This meeting is to plan the schedule for the Board for 2026. Monroe PTABOA is a Board made up of 3 Monroe County Property Owners that have a background in real estate and taxation.

Dr. C. Kurt Zorn, Economist and O’Neil professor emeritus who is an expert in State and Local public finance and tax policy

The 2026 Form 11 which is the Notice of Assessment of Land and Structures were mailed on April 28, 2026. The notice provides the assessed value “in use” for which the tax bill be based on for 2026 taxes paid in 2027. Deadline to file an appeal on the assessed value is June 15, 2026, if a taxpayer disagrees with the assessment.
