Veteran with Service-Connected Disability Credit
A $350 credit to eligible disabled veterans. Eligibility includes serving in the US military or navy during any of its wars, was honorably discharged, and has a service-disconnected disability rating of at least 10%. This credit is also available to a surving spouse of an individual who would have qualified when alive.
Veteran at least Age 62 with at least 10% Disability Credit
A $250 credit to eligible disabled veterans. Eligibility includes serving in the US military or navy for at least 90 days, was honorably discharged, and is at least 62 years old with a disability rating of at least 10%. This credit is also available to a surving spouse of an individual who would have qualified when alive, or was killed in action, or died serving active duty, or performing inactive duty training.
Totally Disabled Veteran Deduction
A deduction of 100% of the assessed value of principal place of residence to eligible disabled veterans. Principal place of residence is defined as the dwelling, up to one (1) acre of immediately surrounding land, and other qualifying residential improvements as described in IC 6-1.1-12-37(a)(2)(C). Eligibility includes serving in the US military or navy during any of its wars, was honorably discharged, and has a service-disconnected disability rating of at least 10%. This credit is also available to a surving spouse of an individual who would have qualified when alive. Please note, any other assessments (for example: stormwater fees, conservancy fees, liens, etc) are not subject to reduction with this benefit—only property tax based on assessment
Deduction for Homestead Donated to Veteran
Savings for Disabled Veterans who received an honorable discharge after serving in the US military or naval forces for at least 90 days with a disability rating of at least 50% in which the individual’s homestead was donated to the Veteran by an income tax exempt organization. The deduction of assessment is determined by the percentage of disability rating using the below table:

*To receive any of the above benefits Veterans will need to provide either a pension certificate, an award of compensation, or a disability compensation check issued by the US Department of Veterans Affairs, or a certificate of eligibility issued to the individual by the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs.
