An Application for a Septic Permit must be submitted when a system needs to be installed, repaired or replaced.

If you are unable to use the online permitting system, OpenGov, paper applications are available upon request.
Easement Agreement - Payment can be done in person (in the Health Department), through mail, or over the phone (812) 349-2542. NOTE: Payment CANNOT be done through OpenGov.

Office hours for staff are normally 8am-9am Monday through Friday for walk-ins. We urge you to make an appointment prior to walking in as staff may be out of the office doing field work.
